The Studios, the business accelerator by the University College of West Flanders which is also our office location, wanted to be present at the Week of Design 2011.
The scenography of the Week of Design was going to make use of pallets and since we had previously utilized wooden pallets to create the interior of The Studios we saw it fitting to create something to matching to both.
By combining the wooden pallet interior and the rabbit logo of The Studios we came up with the idea of creating the eye-catcher of the entire exhibition. We build a giant wooden rabbit of 6.5 meters high, in one day with plenty of help of volunteers. The structure holds about 43 pallets and 1350 nails and was later moved (after the decapitation of the head) to the front yard of our office.
